Turkish Delight Ice Cream Bar

“Come on, what do you want to get?”

Stare into the supermarket freezer. Normally I have an opinion on these kinds of things. Not tonight.

“Don’t mind…”

So here we are purchasing a box of Turkish Delight ice cream bars.

Can they make an ice cream out of anything? It could be a great way to eat the foods that taste great but are just too hot for summer weather. What about pancakes with maple syrup ice cream? Or chai ice cream?

Weigh it in my hand before opening the individual packaging. It’s light but larger than expected.

Nibble the edge. Chocolate coating fragile but nice enough.

Proper bite. The ice cream is very fluro pink with a vague rosewater taste. There is a layer of chewy not-quite-firm jelly substance that I assume is standing in for actual Turkish Delight.

The more I eat it the more I like it. But let’s face it, I’d eat tomato ice cream if they made it.

Rating: ★★★☆☆

Specifics: Fry’s Turkish Delight Ice Cream Bars from Franklins, Woonona
