I don’t mind a good romantic comedy, but Four Weddings and a Funeral is filled with discomfort humour… I just feel bad for everyone involved.
The Husband suggests chili chocolate. Okay!
The square looks innocent enough. I nibble off a corner.
Huh… tastes like regular dark chocolate. Which is fine, I guess, if you’re into that sort of thing. As a milk chocolate girl… it’s okay.
Swallow. Finally, some chili action! On top of the normal warmth chocolate brings there is extra itch down my throat and on my tongue, chili bite!
It never occurred to me that you could mix chocolate and chili so easily because they both have that warmth… interesting.
Finish off the square. Letting the chocolate melt on the tongue, or chewing it apart… both result in the same taste. Regular chocolate, prickly once downed.
So there is chili, but I’m not sure that is a thing to wonder at. Does one really like having a lingering soft burn after chocolate, instead of savouring the cocoa itself? I suppose some ones might… but this one could do without.
